Vote Your Conscience

If ever there was a day to do it, this dawning day’s the one. Taxes blah, healthcare blah, No Child Left Behind blah. What’s true in your private heart? If you know it to be true for all mankind, then go with it. That’s all.

okay, thanks for this! because i hear a lot of "it doesn't matter who you vote for, just vote!" and i think it damn well DOES matter who you vote for, and i can think of a few people that i would actually like to discourage from going to the polls.
but "think about what's best for The Group and then vote" is a more thoughtful way of sticking to the democratic ideal (that everyone should vote) while (one hopes) injecting it with a bit less selfish motivation.
