This was a stealth photo, which is why it’s cut off at a weird angle. I have a weak spot for old people from rural areas. There some way in which they capture the character of a place that the younger generations don’t, or at least the character that a place used to have, before every place started becoming the same. I noticed this in central europe as well. The kids looked like kids do everywhere, but the old people looked like they were of a very particular time and place, a place that is in its twilight, for better or for worse.
