Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see this place. I was back at the hotel, somewhere amid my 36-hour stint lying in bed with a completely nonfunctioning digestive system and a whopping fever. It all came on within 15 minutes while we were walking back to the hotel on the afternoon of our second day in the country.

The next day the ladies, who felt fine, went on an eight-hour tour of several of the villages and natural wonders surrounding the city of Oaxaca while I lay in bed, delusional with fever. Among the natural wonders they saw, this "petrified waterfall." It’s actually the residue of a mineral-saturated spring that runs off the side of the cliff. Except for the mountains in the background, it looks like the ladies are standing at the edge of the world. The next page has another view. Meanwhile, I slept and read The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin, which I highly recommend. He was really a very interesting man.
