On our way home from Budapest, we took a detour to hike and camp in the Tatra mountains, on the Polish-Slovak border. Unfortunately, after hiking in, we found out that camping is strictly forbidden in National Parks, of which this is one. So we hiked back out and finally, well after dark, having been up since 4:30 am to catch the train out of Budapest, having hiked all day, feet aching, after walking around the small town for a couple of hours, in the dark, and debating about whether or not we should sleep in the woods behind some people's houses, we finally found a pension, which cost far more than we wanted, and fell asleep. The hike was nice, though.
