The communists also replaced them with citizen-proletariat figures, such as the hammer-wielding blacksmiths above and the archetypical mother-child duo and shirtless journeyman scythe operator below. In a moment of preternatural foresight, the communists also included Mr. Dialing-a-Cellphone-in-his-Underwear Guy (bottom-left).
