Trinity Column (1716) is said to be the largest baroque sculpture in central Europe. In the rear is the Olomouc Town Hall (1378, current appearance from 1607). As far as Olomouc goes, this scene is fairly representative. It’s much smaller than Prague, with many many fewer tourists, but simply spectacular in its historical splendor and no-nonsense Czechness.
