This is the scene that greeted us as we ended a very long day of traveling, having flown from Prague to Croatia in the morning, taken a bus to Split, immediately caught a ferry to Jelsa on Hvar island, and then caught a bus across the island to Stari Grad, where we spent our first night. We drank wine and ate olives and cheese on the beach as the sun set.
