ELEVATOR MUSIC FOR THE SOPHISTICATED RETARD

Audio Sketchbook

Update!

After a years-log hiatus from making music, during which time the general public had given me up for dead (or ‘moved to New Mexico’, which sounds a lot worse), I have finally acquired technology that allows me to make music all by myself in the nearly windowless basement where they are keeping me safe from terrorists. Are you ruddy with anticipation yet? You should be. The first of the songs have been made, and the ideas are dripping out of my head faster than butter off a hot biscuit. Stay tuned.

The songs below come from an audio sketchbook that I made between 1997 and the summer of 2000, which acquired that horribly un-PC name after an old roommate used that phrase to characterize the kind of music I make.

Disclaimer:

Except for a couple that were made at my old 8-track recording studio in Chicago, most of these songs were sketched out either on a cheap Tascam 4-track or on a little Boss drum machine. You may need a little help from your imagination.
