PENNY PAGES

Photodocumenting the Fuzzy Brown One

Introducing Penelope, fuzzy and brown. That’s right, Penny now has her own page here at Strange Proportion, mostly by popular demand, or at least due to the nagging of certain members of the extended Strange Proportion community. This page is probably only enjoyable over broadband. I do feel sorry for all you dial-up suckers. Really.

Movies! Fall/Winter 2005

Anyway, this first clip was taken in our basement apartment. We like to think that it shows off the Penstress’s sensitive side. She does love to pose, we admit, but she doesn’t seem to be able to strike a pose for very long. Her mind is always racing with too many things and her attention span is short.

And here is another of her outdoor moments, and in fact, believe it or not, a relatively calm one. These moments—free in the woods both from leash and worldly constraints, finally able to express her dog nature however she sees fit—punctuate her otherwise dreary life in the basement.

One of Penny’s favorite woods activities is to run a switchback up the side of a steep hill to the very top and, if she hasn’t seen any deer from that vantage point, to run as fast as she can in a straight line down the hill until she crashes into the thick piles of leaves below. Unfortunately, this hill was too full of obstacles and she was forced to take it at a more reasonable pace.
